For the 44th time we welcome You, students to take part in Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar- SIYSS. We can promise you inspiring lectures and discussions and an opportunity to take part in significant research that may change the world.
One year ago we started to plan this day, the SIYSS seminar 2020, and a lot has happened since then worldwide with a virus that shook the world of humankind. Science is needed more than ever and, this year the SIYSS Seminar will be held digitally. I am happy to inform you that together we are writing history today. Since 1976, SIYSS has stimulated interest in science and technology among youths. But this is the first all digital seminar. Our participants are located all around the world and are ready to answer your questions.
This day is dedicated to mathematics, science and technology and the seminar offers a mixture of different subjects, nationalities, and research projects, as well as a panel discussion in scientific methodology.
I hope that this SIYSS Digital seminar day makes you inspired and is a tool to make you invent your own interests and research project. The streamed seminar and the participant presentations is something you can watch as many times as you like to get motivation and inspiration to start research.
